Two new faculty directors appointed
Målfrid Tangedal (47) and Kristian Jørgensen (44), have been appointed as faculty directors at the Faculty of Social Sciences and the School of Business and Law at UiA respectively.
Both have served as acting faculty directors at the same faculties for some time before being appointed to permanent positions. The vacancies were announced this autumn, and UiA received 18 applications in total.
Before becoming the acting faculty director at the Faculty of Social Sciences in May 2023, Tangedal served as senior adviser at the same faculty. She holds a cand.polit. degree from the University of Bergen and has prior experience in research administration centrally at the university. She has also served on the university board as a member elected by the technical and administrative staff.
Jørgensen, on the other hand, was head of the finance section in UiA's Division of Finance and Campus Management, a position that is now open for applications until 11 December. He holds a degree in business administration from UiA and has previously held various roles in UiA's financial management.
