6 May: The student at the Faculty of Engineering and Science, Campus Kristiansand who was put in isolation by the Municipal Health Service due to suspected COVID-19 virus 5. May, tested negative. Fellow students,subject teachers and close contacts are therefore out of the temporary quarantine they were put in yesterday.
The students at UiA will have their voting period extended by two days in this year's student elections, until 12 May. The reason is that a candidate at one faculty was mistakenly listed as a candidate at another.
Eight candidates from the constituency temporarily employed in education and research positions are now fighting for vacancies on the University Board at UiA, one representative and two deputies. The election will be held 3-10 May.
The Council of Europe launches its annual report on democracy, there will be a rebus, webinars and podcasts during the Democracy and Election Week at UiA from 3 to 7 May. The student associations, STA and various disciplines at UiA organise the events. A main goal is to increase participation in student elections.
