The coronavirus lockdown led to many things – among them an increased focus on cyber security when working remotely. UiA took measures to improve cyber security. Awareness is key as cyber criminals try to exploit the situation to gain access.
This autumn, the Department for Classical Music has been organising concerts on Wednesdays at lunchtime, with free food and beautiful music performed by students. The arrangements have been very popular and both students and employees at UiA have filled the Sigurd Køhns Hus, Sal 1.
The contact tracing app developed by the National Institute of Public Health (NIPH) that was criticised due to privacy concerns has been disabled. A new app based on the international framework of Apple and Google will now be developed.
Grimstad municipality has introduced stricter infection control measures as a consequence of the coronavirus situation in Arendal. These measures also impact Campus Grimstad. Students and employees should avoid travelling between campuses.
The government will prepare a new action plan for LGBTIQ+. Minister of Culture and Equality Abid Raja started the planning process in cooperation with the Centre for Gender and Equality at the University of Agder.
