Phase 1: Preparation and engagement

Having strong engagement from management and safety representatives is essential for a successful implementation of ARK.

Since the faculties and divisons are responsible for conducting the process themselves, it's important to have discussions within management meetings together with the safety team. You should consider the opportunities the survey provides for improving work environments both organisationally and psychosocially.

  • Deciding on resource use and responsibilities
  • Involving employee representatives, especially safety representatives
  • Conducting a risk assessment to identify any specific challenges that need to be considered, such as how a change in management might affect implementation.
  • Deciding whether topics not covered by ARK should still be addressed in the unit’s feedback meetings, such as multiple campuses, digitalisation, office space, inclusion and cultural diversity, and cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Use each other in the management teams as sparring partners.
  • The Division of Human Resources will help managers at all levels to become well acquainted with ARK and the opportunities it presents, through workshops and support materials.
