Captioning lecture videos and other audio files, such as podcasts, is a time-consuming task, and the tools available to assist with this work do not always provide the level of textual quality we would like.
From 1 February 2023 , public institutions must comply with the Web Accessibility Directive, which legally requires a text alternative for all educational audio material (with some exceptions). This makes it essential for us to find effective tools for this task, in line with our work on Universal Design.
UiA has entered into an agreement with UiO for the use of the Autotekst service. The service supports Feide login.
More information about Autotekst is available at uio.no.
