The cases we manage vary in scope and complexity. Some cases are complex, such as preparations for a board decision that may have a major impact on the organisation. Other cases are decided at the individual department level, such as individual decisions.
Common to both individual decisions and cases going to boards, councils and committees is that it is important to write in a way that is easy to understand, and that the case management contributes to clarity and efficiency in our processes.
Individual decisions
Case management is regulated by the Public Administration Act. Responses that students receive to applications for exemption or specific recognition, special needs accommodation, and leave of absence are examples of individual decisions.

Cases for boards, councils and committees at UiA are important sources of information for both the present and the future. Case presentations must be thoroughly prepared in terms of content and formatted to have a uniform expression. This page contains UIA's procedure and includes guidance points to help in writing good case presentations.
