Performance review

The content of the performance review incorporates elements from UiA's goals and values, the Working Environement Act, The ARK survey, and the Inclusive Workplace agreemnet. The purpose is for both parties to leave the conversation better equipped and strengthened.

  • Appraisal interviews are to be conducted once a year with all employees.
  • The leader is responsible for planning and scheduling the interviews within their respective unit, determining the most suitable time of the year to conduct them.

Purpose of the conversation

The conversation should maintain a positive focus and reflect a conversation between two equal individuals. It should provide inspiration for continued personal and professional development at work. The conversation is binding and aims to clarify expectations and build trust between the employee and the leader. Both parties are expected to come prepared to the meeting.

The conversation is to clarify

  • Current work tasks and how these can best be carried out
  • How the employee can contribute to achieving UiA’s goals and plans
  • The need for any measures related to the working environment, including identifying and following up on such needs
  • Opportunities for personal and professional development
