Staff seminars
Staff seminars are trips organized for a department or parts of a department, which, in addition to providing professional development, aim to promote a good working environment within the department. Examples include trips to attend courses, conferences, and seminars. As a general rule, such trips are not required by the employer and will therefore be classified as a stipend trip.
Course / seminar at Metochi
Courses/seminars at Metochi are defined as stipend trips. This does not apply to speakers at Metochi, provided the assignment is required by the employer.
Before booking
The unit leader must confirm with the employees in advance that this is a stipend trip, how working/travel time will be credited, and provide the following information:
- Expenses for transport, meals, and accommodation are usually covered directly by the employer.
- No meal allowance is provided, as meals are typically covered. If the employer, exceptionally, does not provide meals, it may be agreed either to provide a meal allowance or to cover documented expenses for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
- The employer covers necessary personal transport costs that are not directly paid by the employer.
- For such trips abroad, no compensation allowance is given.
