Psychosocial work environment
The psychosocial work environment is about how wellbeing, support and positive relationships in the workplace affect employees' health and job satisfaction. In line with the Working Environment Act, we aim to prevent employees from being exposed to various negative psychosocial factors and ensure that the cumulative burden of different stressors does not become too great.
What is psychosocial work environment?
The psychosocial work environment is about how your work situation, job role and interpersonal relationships impact wellbeing and health at work. There are both risk factors and protective factors within this environment.
For example, high job demands may be less stressful if you have a high degree of autonomy and influence over your work. Similarly, managing changes at work can be easier when you experience support, inclusion and fairness from your line manager.
You can find more information about this on the STAMI - National Institute of Occupational Health website.
