Right to salary during sickness

To be entitled to pay during sickness, you must have taken up the position at UiA, meaning you must have physically reported to the workplace.

You will be paid your normal salary for the period you are on sick leave. UiA will claim reimbursement of the sickness benefits from NAV.

The right to full salary during sickness ceases when you have received sickness benefits for a total of 248 working days within the last 3 years. In this context, partial sick leave is counted as full sick leave.

After you have exhausted your entitlement to sickness benefits, you must be 100% at work for 26 weeks to accrue new sickness benefit entitlements with NAV.

After you have exhausted your entitlement to sickness benefits, you must be 100% at work for 16 days before you are entitled to employer-paid sickness benefits.

Calculation of sickness benefits
