Follow-up of employees aged 67-70 and over 70 years

Employees aged between 67 and 70, as well as those over 70, should have the same follow-up during illness as employees under 67.

They have the same right to sick pay and self-certification as employees under 67.

For employees between 67 and 70, UiA gets reimbursement for sick pay for only 60 days per year before reaching the maximum date set by NAV, and no reimbursement at all for employees over 70.

Therefore, the unit must manually monitor when the maximum date for sick pay is reached according to the rules for those under 67.

These employees are not entitled to AAP from NAV but must apply to SPK for a pension well in advance (at least 3 months prior).

Note that UiA does not receive sick notes via NAV for employees over 67. There is still a requirement for documentation of sick leave, and the employee must provide the sick note directly to UiA. There is also still a requirement to establish a follow-up plan and conduct dialogue meetings. The difference is that the unit must arrange and coordinate these without assistance and participation from NAV.
