Democracy and active citizenship
Societal challenges cross borders, and a changing world demands innovation. UiA is committed to interdisciplinary efforts to find sustainable solutions.
About the area:
In a rapidly changing world, it's important that we understand the fundamental principles that shape and sustain our society. Not least about the forces that threaten and challenge our democracy.
At UiA, we work on how we can understand these forces and further develop the prerequisites and principles for democracy and citizenship through research, dialogue and social engagement.
