Areas of responsibility

My research examines the societal implications of digital transformation, with a particular focus on its consequences for individuals, institutions, and society at large. I am interested in how digital technologies can be designed, implemented, and used in responsible ways that contribute to the social good. A key aspect of my work is exploring the boundaries of digital technology – investigating when digital solutions are appropriate and where they should be complemented or replaced by human interaction. Empirically, my research often focuses on the interaction between public sector organisations and citizens, and on how these relationships are reshaped through processes of digitalisation. Overall, my work is motivated by a broader interest in the implications of digitalisation for human rights and sustainability.
