Norwegian ICNP Research & Development Centre
The Norwegian ICNP Center (N-ICNP) is a research and development center established in Norway in 2017, which utilizes the International Classification for Nursing Practice (ICNP) to enhance digital collaboration in the health and social care sectors.
In 2020, the International Council of Nurses (ICN) entered into an agreement with SNOMED International for the incorporation of the ICNP into SNOMED CT, the most comprehensive clinical terminology used worldwide. ICN retains ownership and defines the content of ICNP while reaching many more potential nursing users.
