IMIA NI, the International Medical Informatics Association - Nursing Informatics, is a global organisation dedicated to supporting and promoting relevant research and development in nursing and health informatics/e-health worldwide!
The theme of this year's NI Congress was Innovation in Applied Nursing Informatics, where new knowledge, experiences, and ideas about nursing informatics were presented and shared from clinical practice, management, research, and education.
We participated in several panel discussions and presented a poster. Lene Laukvik presented her poster with results from her PhD. The poster was titled: Utilizing Nursing Standards in Electronic Health Records: A Descriptive Qualitative Study. Additionally, Lene was part of an international panel where projects involving ICNP research were presented.
Mariann Fossum participated in a workshop and a panel with international experts. The workshop focused on the use of survey methods in ICT research, and the panel discussed whether the documentation burden of recording patients' individual goals outweighs the opportunity to provide person-centered healthcare services.
