Bakgrunn og erfaring
My background is in social work and public administration. I hold a master’s degree in Social Work and Management and a master’s in Public Administration and Policy Development. I have worked as a social worker and process leader in the public sector in Sweden, focusing on enhancing services and optimizing internal workflows within organizations.
In my most recent role as the operational manager of a private company in Sweden that provided accommodations for homeless families, I led the digitalization of our workflows. This included developing a new IT system for registering and managing incoming cases and service requests.
In addition to my PhD studies at UiA, I am involved in a project with the municipality of Malmö, Sweden, which aims to improve digital self-services. The project focuses on revising internal work procedures and case registration processes to develop services that better address citizens' needs and requests.
Forskning
My research interests include system development, digital self-service, citizen-centered service development, and co-production within digital government. Through an interpretative lens, I aim to investigate the preconditions for co-production in digital government. I am particularly focused on how the roles of actors within public service and modern bureaucracy are evolving in the digital era, and how technology influences this dynamic.
My research encompasses perspectives from both citizens and public organizations to understand how different actors contribute to the co-production of digital self-services. I explore the opportunities and challenges that arise when citizens and frontline workers collaborate in a digital self-service setting and point towards preconditions that will improve the service interaction.
