Topsoil

Farming soil is a very nutrient-rich soil type that food crops thrive in.

Mold soil is made up rich organic matter and dark soil.

Farming soil is also “alive.” The teeming life helps make the soil porous, like a Stratos chocolate bar. The air spaces allow the soil to hold just the right amount of water and air for food plants.

Farming soil is often found in the top layer of already cultivated or arable land. Building good farming soil takes a long time—up to thousands of years. Farming  is therefore a limited resource which is important to protect.
