Deadlines from SiA Bok
- For books that will be on sale for the autumn: 15 May
- For books that will be on sale for the spring: 15 November
Notify the bookshop SiA Bok of books that should be on sale for the students. The bookshop informs the library which books have been finalized, and the library adds/corrects these in reading list, Leganto. You can add more book titles afterwards, but do not change what has already been agreed.
Add book chapters, journal articles, and other sources in Leganto (Reading list system), and click «My list is ready", you will then send the list to the library and also publish the list.
- Log on to Canvas and choose a course
If needed, start with turning on reading lists (Pensumliste) in navigation options:
- Go to Settings
- Navigation
- Move Pensumliste (Reading list) up to visible navigation: Choose … and enable, or drag Pensumliste to the visible navigation
- Save
- Create reading list
- Click Pensumliste (Reading list) from the course’s options in Canvas.
- If no reading list has been created, choose Create it. The title will be the same as the course, so do not replace the name.
- Create sections. Organise list by choosing Norsk or English.
- Course lecturers that are connected to the course in FS will appear in the list. Contact the library if a lecturer is not on the list. Add any other lecturer as co-worker in the list. Choose Co-workers – administrate co-workers and add lecturer as co-worker.
- Add Sources, click Add. Preferably via library search which can Search through books, articles, or choose to add manually, or by ISBN or DOI number.
- Click "My list is ready".
- You can continue to edit the source in the list, but do not change the compulsory books you have agreed with the bookstore.

BOLK
Articles and chapter excerpts from books must still be approved via BOLK before uploading to CANVAS for the students. Register the sources in the reading list, in section Bolk. The approved files can be uploaded to files in CANVAS, or connect them to source in the Reading list.
More information regarding Reading list
It is possible to have a reading list be connected to several courses at the same time. Contact the Library if needed.
It will also be useful to use your own Favorites in the reading list tool, and the option to log on the reading list system Leganto outside of Canvas.
The reading list for the relevant course in CANVAS can be seen by the students that are connected to the course. In addition, the reading list will be publicly available in the course descriptions in the course catalogue link, after it has been published in Leganto. It will also be publicly available directly in the reading list tool in Leganto.
