It is important that the software used to handle UiA’s information is well-known and has undergone both technical and legal evaluation and approval. In addition to approved software, you will also find information about software that has been assessed as not being eligible for approval. Often, this will be free software that uses personal data and information as "payment."
You have access to many licensed programs through AppsAnywhere. Log in with your UiA account.
If you require any other licensed software that is not available in AppsAnywhere, you must send a request to the person responsible for IT equipment orders in your department and report the need for a security evaluation via this page (link).
Password manager
A password manager is a tool that stores your passwords and other sensitive information in one secure place, generates strong passwords for you, and automatically fills in login details on websites and applications. This helps you reduce the risk of data breaches by using unique and complex passwords for each account.

Software in labs and teaching rooms
All software needed for PC and Mac labs and teaching rooms is ordered twice a year before each semester starts. This information is provided on Innaskjærs. The software will be made available through AppsAnywhere. In addition, an individual assessment has been made for other software that is installed locally on the computer lab and must be ordered separately (only applicable to resource-intensive software such as Autodesk, SolidWorks, and similar).
