What should I bring?
Bring your own laptop and access card. If you use a Mac without an HDMI output, you will need an HDMI adapter. Also, bring any other accessories or materials you might need.
Can we have more than one person in the studio?
The studio is set up for 1-2 people. If you wish to have more participants, please contact the Media services section to discuss the possibility of recording in the TV studio.
Are there any types of clothing I should avoid during recording?
Avoid clothing with tight, small stripes or checkered patterns, as these can cause visual distortions when scaled. If you wear scarves or jewelry, ensure they don’t rub against the microphone.
How do I edit my video afterward?
We recommend recording short videos. It is often quicker to redo the recording than to edit it. Panopto offers basic editing options, such as trimming the beginning and end.
Do I need to caption the video?
Yes. Norwegian universal design requirements mandate that all videos must be captioned. Panopto has an automatic captioning feature available in the settings (gear icon). Select “Captions” and then “Order” for the language model to generate the captions.
It is important to review the captions to ensure there are no errors. You can do this by clicking the edit icon on the video itself, then selecting “Captions” (menu on the left). You can make changes directly in the text.

How to reserve the room?
This is done through Outlook in Calendar view. Select "New appointment" and choose the room as the location.
For Kristiansand: Selvbetjent studio Gimle25 D4 002.
For Grimstad: Selvbetjent studio C1 051.

Why is my recording not appearing in Panopto?
When logging into Panopto for the first time, it may take some time for the account to be created. If it's a large video, it may take some time to import.
