Advertising and campaigns
The Division of Communication has its own budget for advertising and creates campaigns for UiA and UiA's study programmes in general, primarily on Facebook and Instagram.
The faculties order specific ads for their programmes beyond this, using their own budget, through the Communications Department.
The Division of Communication provides professional support related to content production and distribution.
Content production for social media
Instagram.com/uiagder and Instagram.com/universityofagder are our main channels for student recruitment through social media. We fill these channels with content created by students employed as content producers.
Student ambassadors visit upper secondary schools in Norway
UiA hires student ambassadors every year to travel to upper secondary schools across the country to talk about UiA. The student ambassadors visit over 200 upper secondary schools and reach around 30,000 students during January/February.
Open Day (and other campus visits)
Every other Wednesday in March, we invite people to Open Day at UiA! The Recruitment and Profiling Section coordinates this event.
Maintenance and development of uia.no/studier and uia.no/english/studies
Together with the academic community at UiA, we design the study information pages for prospective students and keep them updated.
Other activities
- Student chat: The Communications Department covers the licensing for the "Unibuddy" service and engages 10-12 student ambassadors (whom we also use for school visits) to have profiles here. Faculties are encouraged to involve their own students beyond this.
- Podcast "Student at UiA"
- Live streaming for prospective applicants
- Advisors' gathering: Every year, we invite school advisors from the region to UiA to provide updates and meet one another.
- Follow-up of applicants (email dispatches)
