Main channels for student recruitment
instagram.com/uiagder and tiktok.com/@uiagder are our main channels for student recruitment through social media.
The channels are filled with content produced by students employed as content creators. All students interested in working with content production are encouraged to express their interest.
Much of the content is created in collaboration with other students. Do you know any students who would like to contribute to content or have ideas for content? Get in touch!
#uiagder is UiA’s official hashtag, which can be used to find content related to the university.

UiA’s company profile on LinkedIn shares relevant content from the university, guided by a content strategy that is updated annually. The purpose is to:
- Build and strengthen networks and reputation
- Promote and showcase research and co-creation both in Norway and internationally
- Highlight employees, researchers, and students
- Promote career opportunities for students
UiA’s Facebook page shares relevant content with the general public, partners, students, and prospective students.
In organic content, we prioritise the promotion of UiA’s study programmes and campuses, student stories, important news from UiA, and relevant knowledge dissemination.
Organic content is coordinated by employees in the Division of Communication who work with both recruitment and dissemination/general communication.
For paid content, see the section above on marketing on social media.
Do you want to create your own profile on social media?
Contact the SoMe editorial team for advice and guidance. The university should present a cohesive image across digital channels, emphasising that we are one UiA. Also, remember to read the guidelines if your department, faculty, or centre wishes to create its own social media profiles.
Send us your content suggestions
