Parking for employees

At UiA's campuses, employees must pay for parking, but there are some reserved spaces for employees.

In order to use the spaces reserved for employees, you must have a valid employee ID in Apcoa Flow, in addition to paying the parking fee. The parking fee is the same as for the university's other car parks – NOK 20/14 hours from 1 August 2026. For employees parking in Grimstad, Apcoa Flow must be used for payment.

  • At Campus Grimstad, employee parking is located in P3 (old car park).
  • At Campus Kristiansand, the car park at the end of Universitetsveien at the back of the building (P11) is reserved for employees.

If you need parking on business trips beyond 14 hours, please contact UiA Help.

Employee certificate in parking app

Download Apcoa Flow on your smartphone or PC. Once you have created a user and entered your car number plate information, add ‘parking benefit’. You can find this by clicking on "menu" on the top left-hand corner, go to ‘university and high school’ and find the University of Agder. You must log in via Feide to verify that you are employed by the university.

Once you are registered, the registration lasts for one year, so you don't have to register every time you park.

You can enter several cars in the app, but only one car can be active at a time. If you switch between several cars, you MUST remember to switch cars in the app as well.

If you have an international mobile number, you may have difficulties using the app. It is possible to log in using the web browser, if you still cannot do this, we recommend contacting the Apcoa customer service.

Preferential parking has expired. What do I do?

The preferential parking at UiA for employees lasts for one year. Everyone should therefore ensure that the registration is still valid. If it has expired, then simply verify again with Feide that you are a UiA employee and it will be renewed. You can renew the registration when there are approximately 20 days left and the expiry date is shown in yellow.

Steps for renewal

  1. Log in to APCOA FLOW or flow.apcoa.no
  2. Select ‘Parking benefit’ from the menu
  3. Click on the ‘Add’ button (or "Register parking benefit" on the web)
  4. Find "University and high school", then select your university or high school. (If you have preferential parking at several universities or high schools, you must choose the correct school which the expiration notice applies to.
  5. Select vehicle if asked, agree to the terms of use and then log in with your Feide user.
  6. Your preferential parking is now renewed and a new expiry date is set.

For those who have several cars, or who have bought a new car, it is advisable to ensure that the correct car is registered.

Handicap parking for employees

UiA has several handicap parking spaces (HC parking) for staff and students. The spaces can be used by those with a blue HC parking permit issued by the municipality or a temporary permit issued by UiA. Use of HC car parks is free on both campuses at UiA. There are normally two HC parking spaces per building.

Temporary HC parking can be issued as part of preventive illness or as a follow-up from sickness leave through a follow-up plan.

Temporary permission can be granted for 1 month/3 months/6 months and up to a maximum of 9 months in total. It is a personnel adviser who handles such cases where the criteria are based on the follow-up plan.

Employees who meet the following criteria can be granted temporary HC parking:

  1. Great difficulty moving over large distances.
  2. Are on sick leave or are at risk of being on sick leave.

Contact your immediate manager or personnel adviser regarding the need for a temporary HC parking permit.
