Leave for elected representatives

As an elected representative, you have the right to paid leave to participate in events or meetings within the organization, such as departmental or union board meetings, union-related courses, and conferences organized by the union or main federation you are affiliated with.

If the organizations need to hold member meetings during working hours about matters that everyone should be promptly informed about, an agreement with the employer must be in place.

The employer may also grant paid leave to elected representatives to prepare for meetings and similar activities. The same applies to other employees if they are assisting the elected representatives.
