Admission requirements
General description and profile of the programme
The program is suitable for anyone looking to work with human resources in a company or public organization. It addresses key HR challenges in today's workplace from both employer and employee perspectives.
The one-year program is practice-oriented and provides students with training in developing essential skills in the HR field, as well as the ability to reflect on the role of leaders from a broader societal perspective.
HR in Norwegian Working Life is offered to two student groups. The first group consists of external individuals who apply through local admissions and take this program as a one-year course. The second group is bachelor students who choose the program as a specialization or to broaden their education.
Teaching and learning methods
This is a full-time program where the spring courses build on the autumn courses offered. The practicum course in the spring is the only course where attendance is mandatory for all sessions held on campus, as well as during practical experience within businesses. The remaining courses have mandatory attendance only for selected teaching sessions.
The teaching on campus is relevant to working life, featuring lectures and seminars that focus on practical examples, real cases, guest lecturers, company visits, excursions, and role-playing. The language of instruction is primarily Norwegian/Scandinavian, with certain parts of courses taught in English.
