The M365 collaboration package is the one recommended for use at UiA and is standard across all industries. The programs are available both as downloadable applications on your devices and in the browser, which offers a somewhat larger selection of programs.
If you already have the programs on your device, you only need to log in with your UiA user.

Microsoft's solutions offer protection against digital threats, which is essential to secure sensitive university data. These integrated solutions from Microsoft are therefore crucial for strengthening the university's work and promoting a secure, efficient, and innovative learning environment. Therefore, we recommend the following programs:
E-mail and calendar: Outlook
Outlook offers integration with Microsoft programs and seamless login compared to other email applications.
Do you need help in Outlook?
Using Outlook will expose you less to phishing attempts and ensure that you are not redirected to links associated with scams.
Cloud storage: OneDrive
Microsoft's cloud service provides you with 100 GB of storage and should be used for storing work- and study-related data.
It guarantees secure storage of UiA's data. Easy access and sharing of files facilitate increased productivity and collaboration, as well as approved storage of up to yellow data.
Make sure OneDrive is running on your computer, and that you are logged into your UiA account so that you can store your work in the cloud. Remember to check "AutoSave" in a Microsoft document to preserve every change you make.
Office-programs
A complete package that includes popular applications like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. The services offer possibilities for cloud-based storage and collaboration, as well as regular updates and improvements.
For remote teaching and collaboration, Microsoft Teams is an ideal tool that supports digital learning and collaboration between staff and students. The programs can be downloaded to your device or used in the browser.
For Employees:
To improve oversight, the creation of new teams will now be done via Forms. The functionality to create teams directly in Microsoft Teams will gradually be removed, but we already encourage using the new solution. More information will follow.

Browser: Edge
Edge allows you to log in with your UiA account, making it easier to distinguish between work/school and private use. The browser is set as the default on newly issued UiA machines (Windows) where Copilot and Bing chat are included. This is the integrated AI/CI assistant that runs on GPT-4.
