The Student ID app serves as a student ID at, among other places, student unions and public transport companies. The app can also be used as a library card to borrow books from the University Library.
You will still need an access card to enter buildings.
You must have registered on Studentweb and paid your semester fee before you can start using the app. If you are a student at multiple campuses, you must select the campus where you have paid your semester fee.
Student ID card
Collect your student ID card from UiA Help within 2–3 working days. You will not be notified when your card is ready. Remember to bring valid ID and the Student ID app.
Photo requirements:
- Portrait format
- White background
- No headwear or sunglasses: Religious headwear is permitted.
- Eyes open and mouth closed: Look straight ahead
- Clear: Well-lit, photo-quality images, no more than 6 months old.
- Silly photos will not be accepted
- No black and white photos
Lost your access card?
If you have lost your access card or have not collected it within a year, you will need to buy a new one. You can pay 100 kroner at the self-service machine at UiA Help.

Set a new four-digit PIN at the photo booths on campus or log in to the form on this page.

If the card is damaged or demagnetised, you must present it at UiA Help to order a new one.

Additional tips:
- Top up your print credits at the self-service machine at UiA Help.
- A digital student ID card allows you to borrow books from the library. Tap the three dots in the top right-hand corner and select “Library card”.
- If you need extended access to rooms, contact your faculty or lecturer.
- You can log in to the printers using your UiA account.
- The card may become demagnetised if you keep it close to your mobile phone.
