I want to take an exam at UiA
From January 1, 2025, it will no longer be possible to take exams at UiA on a general basis.
I want to take an exam somewhere else
You can apply to take your written school exam at an external location. Note that the exam must be conducted simultaneously with the exam at UiA, according to Norwegian time. UiA students who wish to take their exam externally should expect an administrative fee charged by the University of Agder:
· In Norway: NOK 700
· In Europe and the rest of the world: NOK 1,000
· Students on exchange programs through UiA are exempt from paying if they have valid absence during the regular exam.
To take an exam externally, you are responsible for finding an external contact person. This person is responsible for completing the section "for external contact person" in the application form. Remember that both you and the contact person must sign the form.
Note: It is not guaranteed that we can offer the same accommodation for students with special needs as we do for exams conducted on our own campus.
If you wish to take an oral exam externally, you can contact the course coordinator for the relevant course to explore the possibilities. Please be aware that you are responsible for ensuring that the technical equipment functions properly.
Exchange students
If you have been on an exchange abroad and the exams take place after your return, you can apply to take your exams at UiA.
If you have been an exchange student at UiA, you can apply to take a postponed exam at your home institution.
