About the partner institution

James Cook University

Townsville has around 160 000 inhabitants, and Cairns has around 150 000. Both cities are natural starting points to visit the Great Barrier Reef, as well as being ideal places for those who like tropical climates, nature and a vast wildlife.

JCU has ranked highly within many fields, but in particular within the field of biology and sustainable management.

Students from most subject areas can also find fantastic opportunities at JCU, and UiA’s agreement is open for students from all subject areas. JCU does not only have good professional offers for international students, it also has a great support network that organises fun events such as Fridays Barbeques and weekend trips.
