Teaching language

French and Norwegian, English if needed

Recommended previous knowledge

It is recommended to have a level equivalent to level 2 from upper secondary school (formerly B-language or C-language), alternative B1 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Language courses and previous stays in France will also be an advantage. We do not recommend following the programme without any prior knowledge, as this will be very labour-intensive.

After completing the course, the students will have acquired knowledge about today's French society and the French-speaking world and how history has contributed to shaping today's reality. Through the work on the course, the students will also have further developed their ability to understand and express themselves in French, both orally and in writing. Students should be able to produce written texts in a variety of genres in French.
