Climate, environment and energy
Societal challenges cross borders, and a changing world demands innovation. UiA is committed to interdisciplinary efforts to find sustainable solutions.
About the area:
Climate and environmental challenges require knowledge, innovative solutions and new renewable energy systems. At the University of Agder, we work with research and education that contributes to greater understanding of climate change, environmental protection and sustainable energy transition.
We develop expertise and solutions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, protect biodiversity and promote renewable energy sources. Through interdisciplinary collaboration and co-creation with external partners, we contribute to a more sustainable society where consideration for climate, environment and energy is central. Our goal is to be a knowledge provider that actively contributes to the transition towards a low-emission society in balance with nature.
