Background and experience
I was the Vice-Rector for Education at the University of Agder from August 1, 2019, to July 31, 2023. As Vice-Rector for Education, I led the work for the strategic area "Learning and Education for the Future," with a particular emphasis on developing forward-looking educational leadership. I have been employed at the University of Agder since 1993. Throughout my career, I have been focused on quality and development in teaching. I played a central role in MatRIC (2014 - 2024), an international mathematics education center that was a Centre for Excellence in Education (SFU). I work on developing and testing various teaching methods that help improve the quality and learning outcomes of students, as well as disseminating the knowledge created. In 2018, I was awarded Excellent Teaching Practitioner as the first recipient at UiA.
