Through previous roles as course coordinator and coordinator for the second year of the programme, she has developed in-depth knowledge of the programme as a whole, students' progression through their studies and the connections between courses and years of study.

A key area of professional interest is the development of educational quality and teaching methods that create strong connections between theory, practical skills, clinical placements and assessment. She also has experience in student follow-up and supervision.

Pedersen has a particular interest in student-active and experiential learning. Her educational development work includes student-active approaches to teaching anatomy, physiology and biochemistry, the organisation of practical first-aid training and the implementation of Norwegian Resuscitation Council (NRR) certification. She has also participated in the piloting and implementation of VR and SKUV in teaching designed to prepare students for clinical placements.
