Background and experience

Education

  • BA in Education Sciences (specialisation in mathematics education) - University of Cyprus (Cyprus), 2006
  • MPhil in Mathematics Education - University of Cambridge (England, UK), 2007
  • PhD in Mathematics Education - University of Cambridge (England, UK), 2011
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Educational Leadership - University of Leicester (England, UK), 2013

  • University of Stirling (Scotland, UK), 2018-2021
  • OsloMet - Oslo Metropolitan University (Norway), 2021-2025

My name is also spelled with a 'C' (Constantinos Xenofontos), which is my preferred spelling and the one used in all my publications.

Research

My research interests revolve around the social, cultural, and political dimensions of mathematics education, which I often explore in relation to mathematics teacher education (both pre- and in-service) and mathematics curricula.
