The centre's strategic profile is based on the following three main areas:
1. Collaboration and partnership
This encompasses cooperation in research and development projects at the regional, national, and international levels, including partnerships with development centres through established collaboration agreements. Further focus includes working with existing research networks and the establishment of new international, national, and regional research networks.
2. Organization and innovation in care services
An important focus of our research is municipal planning and organisation. The centre aims to contribute to innovative and cost-effective solutions that ensure patient safety, service quality, and user interests. Relevant topics may include recruitment, competence development, management, and leadership.
3. Patients and users of health and care services in municipalities
Here, the centre will focus on challenges related to various patient and user groups within the municipal health and care sector. Examples of key themes include: secure and safe patient pathways and transitions throughout the service chain; groups particularly vulnerable to social isolation and loneliness; groups experiencing mental illness and/or substance abuse issues; groups with minority backgrounds; individual self-care and resources, and how these can be strengthened and utilised.
