About Centre for care research
The centre is physically located with a department at the Department of Health and Nursing Science (UiA) in Grimstad, and another department at the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences (University of South-Eastern Norway, USN) in Porsgrunn. Our geographical catchment area includes the counties of Agder, Telemark, and Vestfold.
Vision and collaboration
Our vision is to contribute to collaboration and research in order to strengthen and develop the evidence-based health and care services in municipalities by developing new and improved knowledge and disseminating it to municipalities in the region. Central to this endeavour is maintaining contact with relevant environments within the individual municipalities, and the USHTs (Development Centres for Nursing Homes and Home Care Services) in the Southern Region are important partners in this collaboration.
