Ansvarsområde

Naima Saeed er professor i Supply Chain Management ved Institutt for strategi og ledelse på Handelshøyskolen ved Universitetet i Agder.  Hun har en Ph.D. i logistikk fra Høgskolen i Molde, med spesialisering innen maritim økonomi. 

Saeed forsker for tiden på konkurranse og samarbeid mellom havner, og tiltak for å forbedre havnenes effektivitet.

Saeed har publisert en rekke artikler i anerkjente, internasjonale vitenskapelige tidsskrifter, blant annet European Journal of Operational Research, Maritime Economics & Logistics, Research in Transportation Economics, Transportation Research Record,Maritime Policy & Management, International Journal of Shipping and Transport Logistics, NETNOMICS og Case Studies on Transport Policy. Hun har vært fagfelle (referee) for flere akademiske tidsskrifter.

Før hun kom til Universitet i Agder jobbet Saeed som førsteamanuensis i logistikk ved Høgskolen i Molde. Hun har også deltatt i to EU-prosjekter og var ansvarlig for å utvikle fjernundervisningskurs i Maritime Logistics og Maritime Value Chain. Hun har også jobbet som konsulent i et prosjekt finansiert av VRI-programmet fra Norges forskningsråd.

Saeed er medlem av Fagkomité for metode (2016-2020), utnevnt av Nasjonalt råd for økonomisk-administrativ utdanning.
