Camilla Mørk Røstvik

Førsteamenuensis i Historie
Camilla er førsteamanuensis i historie. Hun spesialiserer seg på moderne og samtidskulturhistorie, med en langvarig forskningsinteresse for menstruasjonshistorie, -kulturer og -kunst. Hennes interesser inkluderer feministisk kunsthistorie og kunstprosjekter, environmental humantities, medisinhistorie, feministiske vitenskaps- og teknologistudier, norsk/samisk kunsthistorie, og studier av heksen i moderne tid. Camilla er æreslektor ved School of Medicine og School of Art History i Aberdeen, og æresforsker i kunsthistorie ved University of St Andrews. Camilla har en bachelorgrad i kunsthistorie fra Universitetet i Oslo, en mastergrad i kunsthistorie og kulturstudier fra University of Manchester, og en PhD fra University of Manchester.

Prosjekter
Camilla leder det Wellcome Trust-finansierte Menstruation Research Network UK (2022-2025) og ledet det skotske regjeringsfinansierte prosjektet Arctic Periods: Transnational Knowledge about Menstrual History (2021-22). Hun er co-PI på det Royal Society of Edinburgh-finansierte forskningsprosjektet "Ending Period Poverty in Scotland" (2020-2022), og var PI på det Wellcome Trust-finansierte Menstruation Research Network UK (2019-2020). Camilla jobbet ved Leeds University fra 2020-2021, på det AHRC-finansierte prosjektet 'Generic Visuals in the News: The Role of Stock Photos and Simple Data Visualizations in Assembling Publics'. Fra 2017-2020 var hun Leverhulme Early Career Fellow ved University of St Andrews, og hun er fortsatt æresforsker der, hvor hun samarbeider med Center for Contemporary Art om artist-in-residency-prosjektet Blood Lines.

Camilla has publisert om menstruasjon- og kjønnshistorie i Technology & Culture, Oxford Art Journal, Environment & Society, Enterprise and History, og Leonardo. Hun har skrevet på norsk for Tidsskrift for Norsk Kjønnsforskning og Nytt Norsk Tidsskrift. Hennes nyeste bok er Cash Flow: The Businesses of Menstruation (UCL Press, 2022), og hennes neste bok blir The Painters Are In: A Visual History of Menstruation (McGill Queen's University Press, 2024). Camillas arbeid har også vært publisert i the Wellcome Trust Stories blog series, BBC Radio, Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation, The Conversation, og Discard Studies.
