Portfolio assessment entails evaluating a set of assignments that a student has submitted over a specified period as one comprehensive unit. This may include written work, tests, projects, presentations, or other types of work that the student has completed during the semester.
Benefits of portfolio assessment:
- Focuses on the student's learning process and provides opportunities for feedback and guidance.
- Encourages self-reflection, prompting students to think about their own learning process.
Upon completing the course, participants should be able to:
- Plan and carry out portfolio assessment using points in Canvas.
