This course focuses on managing large student groups and creating a conducive learning environment through effective communication. We will explore ways to organise activities, feedback and assessments more efficiently in Canvas.
The course will cover the following topics
Peer assessment: Learn how to set up assessments where students provide feedback to each other for learning and development.
Activity structuring: Explore how to use groups and sections to neatly structure course activities.
Communication: Establish effective communication channels between students and between students and teacher to foster collaboration and dialogue.
Effective feedback: Utilise the Quiz tool in Canvas as a tool for providing meaningful and efficient feedback to students.
Discussion and reflection: Learn how to initiate a well-structured discussion or reflection task in Canvas.
Upon completing the course, participants will be able to manage large student groups more effectively, create a conducive learning environment, and provide valuable feedback to students. The course will equip you with practical tools and settings in Canvas that will simplify the process of managing activities, feedback, and communication.
