What the announcements wall is for
The announcements wall is intended to be an accessible channel for sharing information that is relevant to UiA employees in their day-to-day work. It should also provide a space where employees can express views and discuss topics related to UiA's organisation, strategy, and activities.
All employees may publish messages to the entire organisation via the announcements wall.
This includes:
- Work-related tips and information that may be useful to colleagues
- Events and activities in the workplace or local area (please also use the intranet calendar)
- Professionally relevant content related to our areas of work
- Employee contributions and opinions on topics related to the organisation's activities and development
What does not belong on the announcements wall
- Private buying and selling (cars, furniture, clothing, etc.)
- Housing advertisements (rooms available, properties for rent or sale)
- Messages that are only relevant to a small number of people (use direct communication instead)
- Commercial advertising or promotional content
- Personal opinions or statements unrelated to UiA
Management of the announcements wall
- The Division of Communications at UiA moderates the content and:
- Regularly removes outdated messages (daily events, time-limited offers, etc.)
- Reviews and tidies all messages on a monthly basis
- May remove content that does not comply with these guidelines without prior notice
Advice for employees
- Follow the guidelines when publishing content
- Keep messages clear and concise
- Ask yourself: "Will this be relevant to many of my colleagues?"
