The archive plan documents how UiA organizes the archive function and fulfills its archival responsibility. It provides a comprehensive overview of archival material and the rules and plans applicable to archival work. This is necessary to manage the archive in accordance with the Archive Act and regulations.
Archive Regulation § 4 states that all public agencies must have an archive plan that is updated and comprehensive for the archival practices carried out in each agency. The archive plan is designed to be used as a tool in internal control of archival work.
