The Traffic Light Model

The report called "The Traffic Light Model" is designed to identify studies with challenges.

Indicators in the Model

The model has six indicators with corresponding threshold values:

  • A value lower than the threshold will give a yellow color to the current indicator.
  • Study programs with a yellow color on at least four indicators will be marked yellow for that year.
  • Study programs with a yellow color on a certain number of indicators over a given period will be marked red.
  • A yellow color on a study program for three consecutive years will result in a red color in the third year.
  • The University Board will be informed about study programs marked red and will focus particularly on these in connection with study portfolio assessments.

Definitions of indicators, calculations, and threshold values are explained in the "Definitions" tab in Tableau.

Which Study Programs are Assessed

The model applies to regular bachelor's and master's programs offered at UiA. Note: Only full-time programs are included in the model. See the info tab in Tableau for certain study programs with set lower threshold values.
