Modify programme and course descriptions

For changes to programme and course descriptions made between periodic programme evaluations and reaccreditation, the following applies, according to the regulations on studies and examinations § 12a:

Changes to programme descriptions

Minor changes to programme descriptions are decided by the Faculty Board/Teacher Education Board.

Substantial changes to programme descriptions, such as the name of the study programme, are decided by the University’s Academic Affairs Committee following a proposal from the Faculty Board/Teacher Education Board and after consultation with the relevant programme council. The deadline for submitting proposals for programme name changes and changes to admission requirements is 15 October.

Changes to course descriptions

Changes to course descriptions are decided by the Faculty Board.

Changes to practice descriptions in the teacher education programmes are decided by the Teacher Education Board after consultation with the relevant programme council.

Changes to programme and course descriptions can only take effect from the start of the new academic year. In exceptional cases, the Faculty Board may decide on changes to the assessment method for courses in the spring semester within the set deadline. Minor changes to the syllabus can be made during the academic year.

Changes related to assessment methods must be communicated to the examination office.
