The Main Agreement in the State Sector (HA) regulates the interaction between the employer and employee representatives. The institution's adaptation agreement contains provisions on the level within the organisation at which employee representatives are to be elected.
Employee participation at the University of Agder shall be exercised through information, discussions, and negotiations with the organisations entitled to rights under the Main Agreement.
In addition, consultation meetings shall be held at the institutional and unit levels, cf. the Personnel Policy:
The rector shall ensure that at least once per semester a consultation meeting is arranged between the Rectorate and the chief employee representatives.
Faculty directors shall ensure that scheduled consultation meetings are held in good time before faculty board meetings and as needed otherwise.
The director of the department for teacher education shall ensure that scheduled consultation meetings are held for the Department for Teacher Education.
The director of human resources shall ensure that scheduled consultation are held in good time before board meetings and as needed otherwise.
The director of human resources shall ensure that scheduled consultation meetings are held for the shared administrative departments.
