Formål

Heavy machinery plays a crucial role in various sectors, providing higher outputs or being essential for the production of certain goods. However, it comes with challenges such as high costs, susceptibility to malfunctions or damages, and difficulties in optimisation and transportation, posing sustainability issues. The EU-funded RealSim project seeks to overcome these challenges by developing a revolutionary combination of heavy machinery machine simulation and framework. The project aims to enhance onboard estimation components by introducing non-linear Kalman filters and algorithms tailored to plant noise. The anticipated outcomes include improved efficiency, optimisation and sustainability, accurate and reliable machine failure prediction, and reduced production and operations costs.
