UiA will issue a BankAxept card upon requests.
The payment to your BankAxept card will include funds from your deposit for the first two to tree months, as there can be some extra expenses your first weeks in Norway.
You must show your passport and sign a document to activate your card. Please bring with you sufficient means for your first days in Norway and note that Norway is to a great extent a cashless society. It will be very hard to exchange foreign currencies in Kristiansand/Grimstad.
The card may be used in shops marked with "BankAxept" and to withdraw money from ATMs. You can also use the card to pay for your housing at SiA Housing. It cannot be used for online payments.
