When you receive a response to your application, you will not be given the reasons for the decision at the same time. We therefore recommend that you request the reasons before submitting any appeal.
1. Request a statement of reasons
- You can submit a request for a statement of reasons here.
- The deadline for requesting a statement of reasons is three weeks after you have received a response to your application for admission.
2. Submit an appeal
- If you still disagree with the decision after receiving the reasons for it, you may appeal against the decision. The deadline for submitting an appeal is three weeks from the date you received the reasons.
The appeal must include:
1: your name and application number
2: what you are appealing against and what change you are seeking
3: how you believe the case has been handled incorrectly in relation to the regulations
- You can submit your appeal here.
The appeal will be considered by an appeals board. The National Appeals Board applies to applications via Samordna opptak, with the exception of appeals regarding special assessment and individual assessment. These and other programmes are considered by the appeals board at the University of Agder.
The appeals board’s decision is final.
The decision on your application for admission is an individual decision which you may appeal against. See Chapter VI of the Public Administration Act on appeals and review. (in Norwegian)
