Download the Student ID app on your phone
The Student ID app is accepted as a valid student ID by transport service companies in Norway, among others. It is equal to the combination of a physical student ID and semester card. The app can also be used to lend books at the University library.
You may still need a physical student ID to access buildings.
For the Student ID app to be valid, you must first pay the semester fee and register your courses in Studentweb. If the app does not display a photo of you, a different kind of photo ID must be presented in addition to the app.
The app is available in Norwegian and English, and adapts to the language settings of your phone.
How to log on to the Student ID app for the first time?
- Open the app (internet access required)
- Choose your institution
- Log in with your username and password (given to you by your institution)
- Read and accept the declaration of consent (the app can only be used if you give your consent)
- Read and approve the terms and conditions (the app can only be used if you agree to the terms and conditions)
If you have paid the semester fee and registered, this information will be displayed in a box at the bottom of the page. The semester receipt is saved in the app itself. This means you can use the app without an internet connection once you have logged on and registered your payment of the semester fee.
