Work? Know Your Rights!

Get to know your rights! Contracts, expectations, what is legal and not, and who do you contact if you experience a violation of labour law?

Bildet kan inneholde: lykke, gest, samarbeidet.

On Thursday, October 15th, LO invites all students to a presentation from LO about laws and workers unions, followed by plenary sessions and a open Q&A.

Unions play a central role in Norwegian working life. They are also a great arena for networking and support. In this event, LO presents Norwegian labour law and what it means for you in practice.

Whether you are looking for your first job in Norway or already have one, this is a chance to understand Norwegian workplace culture and expectations, and to meet others in the same situation.

What will you learn?

  • What should be in your employment contract
  • What employers can and cannot expect of you
  • What is legal and illegal at work
  • Who to contact if you experience labour law violations

This event requires no registration and is open for everyone.
