University of St. Gallen

The city of St. Gallen has 80,000 inhabitants and is located in the German-speaking part of Switzerland, near the border of Germany and Austria. Its narrow streets, combined with a modern infrastructure, attract many young people to St. Gallen.

Requirements

You must be enrolled on a study programme at UiA and have completed a minimum of 60 credits before you go on exchange. In the description of your study programme you will find more information about other possible requirements for applying for an exchange.

St. Gallen maintains a high academic standard, and applicants are required to have an average grade of around B or better to be nominated for studying at St. Gallen.

Credits and courses

Information about the various courses can be found here, and the final list is published one month before the start of the programme. St. Gallen operates a bidding system, which means that students have to register for courses online as soon as possible after the bidding period begins around 2-3 weeks before the start of the program. As there is limited space in the courses, it can be difficult to get in, and it is therefore important to have pre-approved many more courses than you need.
